About this opportunity
This Pre-solicitation Notice is for a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Air Force for the Air Force Special Warfare (AFSPECWAR) Mobile Communications System-Universal (MCS-U) program. The MCS-U system will provide a vehicle-agnostic communications and command and control (C2) capability for Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) operators during strike, C2, and integration missions. The RFI seeks industry input on technologies and components that could meet the anticipated MCS-U requirements, including weatherproof equipment enclosures, mounting solutions, mobile ad-hoc networking, radio over IP, antenna mounting and tracking, and uninterruptible power. Respondents are requested to provide white papers of up to 10 pages by July 1, 2024. The Government may conduct an industry day and will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this RFI. This RFI does not constitute a request for proposals or commit the Government to any future contract.
There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. The notice does not mention any potential incumbents or current contractors. No award values or budget ranges are provided. The RFI does not specify the quantity of goods or timeline for services, as this is an information gathering exercise rather than a procurement action.
