About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center has issued a Special Notice seeking industry feedback on laundry and coverall services for the Office of Aviation Services (OAS) Alaska Regional Office Repair Station located in Anchorage. This Request for Information (RFI) is being conducted under anticipated FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and aims to gather comprehensive information from potential service providers. The opportunity is classified under the Linen Supply NAICS category and focuses on obtaining weekly laundry and uniform management services. The RFI is specifically targeting vendors capable of providing custom coveralls, shop towels, and related laundry services for a government repair station. The solicitation seeks detailed responses from interested contractors to help refine the government's procurement approach.
Contractors interested in responding must submit a 7-page proposal in Microsoft Word format by March 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM Alaska time, addressing the draft Performance Work Statement's requirements. The initial service period will run from August 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026, with potential extension options through July 31, 2030. Key requirements include providing 11-13 sets of blue polyester/cotton coveralls with embroidered names, 200 red shop rags, and one dust mop head, with weekly delivery and pickup services. Vendors must be prepared to measure employees within three business days of award and deliver initial coveralls within three days of the start date. The government will conduct monthly random inspections to ensure quality standards are met, and contractors are expected to provide all necessary management, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and labor. While no specific set-aside is mentioned, contractors should include their socioeconomic status under NAICS code 541611 in their response.
