About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is conducting market research for a Transmission Kit (NSN 2520-01-682-2226, Part No. 12591930) for the Abrams System Enhancement Package (SEP) Family of Vehicles. This Sources Sought Notice is designed to gather information from potential vendors about their capabilities to produce these transmission kits. Interested businesses must possess a current DD 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement certification to access the Technical Data Package. The market research survey requires detailed information about vendor capabilities, including company profile, manufacturing processes, production lead times, and quality management systems. Responses to the market research survey are due by June 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST, with submissions to be sent via email to the contract specialist Asoma Al Najjar.

The procurement is targeting the production of 180 transmission kits annually over a five-year period, with no specific set-aside designations for small businesses. While small businesses, including 8(a), HUBZone, women-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, are encouraged to participate, large businesses are also welcome to respond. The NAICS code for this opportunity is 333613 (Mechanical Power Transmission Equipment Manufacturing), and the Product Service Code is 2520 (Vehicular Power Transmission Components). This market research is purely for planning purposes, and the government is not obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of this process. Vendors should note that no compensation will be provided for participation in the survey, and the primary goal is to understand the market's capacity to meet the Army's transmission kit requirements.
