The Department of the Army's Army Contracting Command - Detroit is conducting market research for the procurement of Track Pad Repair Kits (NSN: 2530-01-598-1727, P/N: 57k6725) intended for the M1 Abrams FOV military vehicle under NAICS code 336992 for Military Armored Vehicle, Tank, and Tank Component Manufacturing. This Request for Information seeks to identify qualified vendors capable of manufacturing these critical vehicular brake, steering, axle, wheel, and track components, with the government particularly interested in understanding the capabilities and qualifications of both small and large businesses in the defense manufacturing community. Interested vendors must demonstrate their ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the equipment and must possess a current DD 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement certification to access the Technical Data Package with distribution code D. The evaluation will focus on vendor capabilities including business type, manufacturing experience, production capacity, lead times, quality management systems, and commercial availability. All responses must be submitted to Contract Specialist Justine Broughton at justine.r.broughton.civ@army.mil by August 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST.

This procurement opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified businesses regardless of size, though the government has expressed particular interest in small business capabilities. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are specifically mentioned in the notice. The anticipated procurement volumes are substantial, with requirements for 25,000 units in Year 1, escalating to 78,000 units annually for Years 2 through 5, representing a significant multi-year manufacturing commitment. The government emphasizes that this is strictly a market research effort for planning purposes only, with no guarantee of future contract award or solicitation issuance. Vendors are expected to provide comprehensive information about their manufacturing capabilities, including details on production capacity, lead times, and quality management systems to support the government's acquisition strategy development. The government will not reimburse any costs associated with preparing or submitting responses to this market research notice.
