About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC/HNAA) is seeking information from hardware vendors regarding high-performance servers for installation on Joint Range Extension Tactical Equipment Package (JRE/JTEP) systems. The servers will specifically host SPIDR (Scalable Portable Integrated Data Router) gateway manager and WINTAK map display software, which are critical for receiving, translating, converting, and forwarding datalink messages with real-time geospatial capabilities. This Request for Information (RFI) is designed to gather comprehensive details about potential server offerings, including their technical capabilities, performance specifications, and pricing structures. The RFI was posted on May 22, 2025, with responses due by June 20, 2025, indicating a relatively short window for vendors to submit their information. The primary evaluation criteria will focus on server performance, compatibility with SPIDR software, and the ability to support complex simulations with advanced mapping and 3D terrain rendering functionalities.
The procurement does not have a specific small business or disadvantaged business set-aside designation, which suggests the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. While the RFI does not specify an exact award value or budget range, it is categorized under the PSC (Product Service Code) 7B20 for High Performance Compute Hardware and Perpetual License Software, indicating a potentially significant technology investment. The servers will be used in tactical and simulation environments, implying rigorous technical requirements and potential future competitive solicitation. The scope suggests the government is exploring multiple vendor solutions for a sophisticated technical infrastructure supporting advanced geospatial and simulation capabilities. The RFI represents a preliminary market research phase, likely preceding a more formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process for procuring these high-performance computing systems.

AFLCMC/HNAA is seeking information on a high-performance server to be installed on JRE/JTEP (Joint Range Extension Tactical Equipment Package) systems. The server will host the SPIDR (Scalable Portable Integrated Data Router) gateway manager and WINTAK map display software. SPIDR software receives, translates, converts, filters, records and forwards datalink message and uses an interactive display to provide real-time geospatial data, running complex simulations with map overlays and rendering 3D models of terrain and infrastructure. This RFI aims to gather information from hardware vendors regarding their offerings, capabilities, and pricing for servers that meet or exceed the specified performance requirements.
