About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding Explosive Linear Actuators for the Homing All Way Killer (HAWK) Missile System. This Special Notice, posted on January 13, 2026, is being published in accordance with FAR 10.002 and 15.201(e) as a market research initiative only. The RFI seeks to identify qualified companies capable of developing and manufacturing replacement Explosive Linear Actuators for HAWK systems already deployed in the field. The government is not making any commitment to acquire products or services based on responses to this RFI, and all information received will be used solely for planning purposes.
Interested contractors must submit a formal email request to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist to obtain the draft Statement of Work (SOW), which contains Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and requires demonstration of qualifications before release. Eligible contractors must possess comprehensive knowledge of the HAWK Missile System, immediate access to current documentation and future system changes, and a facility certified to handle and process Class V explosives with demonstrated technical expertise in chemistry and explosives manufacturing. The deadline for participation is February 13, 2026. Only contractors meeting these stringent requirements—particularly the capability to work with Class V explosives and deep familiarity with the HAWK system—should submit a qualifications narrative with their request for the SOW. Responses to this RFI confer no entitlement to payment or future contracting obligations.
