About this opportunity
The General Services Administration's Federal Acquisition Service is conducting market research for the 2nd Generation Information Technology (2GIT) Blanket Purchase Agreement, a government-wide procurement channel designed to provide commercial off-the-shelf IT products and services to federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government agencies. The procurement will encompass a comprehensive range of IT equipment and solutions across three primary categories: Data Center equipment (compute and storage), End User devices, and Network equipment, including servers, storage systems, network equipment, security appliances, laptops, desktops, routers, switches, monitors, peripherals, and radio equipment such as handheld devices and vehicle units. GSA is seeking Original Equipment Manufacturers of commercial hardware, software, and ancillary services under specific Special Item Numbers including electronic equipment purchasing, hardware maintenance, software licenses, and software maintenance services. This Request for Information is strictly for market research purposes under FAR Part 10 and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to procure. The deadline for responses to this RFI is August 22, 2025, with all response costs borne solely by the respondents.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the available documentation, as this remains in the preliminary market research phase. The government has not made any determination regarding the viability of the potential requirement and emphasizes that specific requirements are still being developed for inclusion in a subsequent Request for Quotes. The scope may be subject to adjustments following the completion of this market research effort. Respondents are granted permission to have their submitted capabilities and contract information shared with other government organizations for similar market research purposes. The procurement falls under NAICS code 33411 for Computer and Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 7B22 for IT and Telecom compute servers.
