About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), intends to award a Firmed Fixed Price contract modification to Collins Aerospace Government Systems under existing Basic Ordering Agreement N0001924G0017 for retrofit of Digital Red Switch System (DRSS) production support assets from Block I to Block II configuration, with response due August 14, 2026. This is a sole-source award based on highly specialized services available only through the original source; the underlying BOA was awarded sole source under 10 U.S.C 3204(a)(1) prior to the Department of War's Revolutionary FAR Overhaul Part 6 implementation on February 1, 2026. The modification supports sustainment efforts for the E-6B aircraft and includes retrofit of Government-Furnished equipment such as Ethernet fabric switches, node switches, chassis management modules, baseband control assembly, cooling fan control units, power distribution units, and processor and canister assemblies. The action is anticipated to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold and is not subject to WTO GPA or FTA restrictions. No construction or small-business qualification requirements apply. The award builds on delivery order N0001924F1840 under the existing BOA structure.
