About this opportunity

The National Guard Bureau J1 Warrior and Resilience and Fitness Division is conducting market research to procure two Resiliency/Meditation Pods for their facilities. The Department of the Army National Guard Readiness Center seeks equipment that provides a quiet, soundproof space for employees to take mental breaks from workplace stress. The pods must accommodate two people comfortably, incorporate interactive guided technology, use standard 120V GFCI outlets, and require minimal maintenance. Interested firms are required to submit specific information to Contracting Officer Trisha Goldsberry via email by 1600 EST on December 9, 2024. Respondents must provide their company name, CAGE Code, UEI, business size, point of contact, proposed NAICS and FSC codes, a specification sheet demonstrating pod equivalence, and estimated lead time after contract award.

This pre-solicitation notice does not include a specific set-aside designation and is classified under the Office Furniture Manufacturing NAICS category. No incumbent contractor is mentioned, and no specific award value is provided in the document. The procurement is targeting two pod units similar to the Cabana Pod Unit, which weighs approximately 650 pounds and measures 81x48x30 inches. The pods will require a standard 110V, three-prong electrical connection with a six-foot cord. The government emphasizes that this is purely a market research initiative and does not guarantee any contract award. Respondents are advised that any proprietary information must be explicitly marked, and the government will not assume information is proprietary unless conspicuously labeled as such.
