Notice text

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27.
This is an Unrestricted Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413.

This requirement will be for a Requirements Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract (IDIQ). The Period of Performance for this contract will be a base year with four options years.

Quantities and prices are annual estimates, are dependent on actual funding requirements, and the government is not obligated to purchase.
Under this contract, the customer places order as required, and the vendor delivers as early as the next business day but no later than 5 business days.
Vendor shall provide products with shelf life no shorter than six months from the date of the delivery.
General: The following consumables might be required for the GS Junior System or the GS FLX System currently in use at USAMRIID. Several items will be regularly ordered, dependent on available funding, including the library preparation, emPCR, Titanium sequencing, and Picotiter plate kits as well as maintenance kits. The remaining items could be ordered, dependent on mission requirements, but not all items would be purchased.

GS Junior

1. Control bead kit
Must work as a positive control during a sequencing run on a 454 GS Junior instrument
Must verify that the GS Junior System is performing to manufacturer specifications

Rapid or General Library Preparation Kit
Must contain reagents required to process a single DNA sample into a DNA library of single-stranded DNA fragments compatible with subsequent emulsion amplification and sequencing on a GS Junior System
Must contain all reagents and components required for 12 individual Rapid library preparations or 10 General library preparations.
2. emPCR Kit (Lib-L or Lib-A; 1, 8, or 16 emulsions)
Must contain reagents and vacuum components sufficient for emulsion-based clonal amplification of a DNA library prepared using an appropriate GS Junior Titanium series library preparation procedure (e.g., shotgun, Paired End, cDNA)
Must be compatible with subsequent sequencing on a GS Junior System, using the GS Junior Titanium Sequencing and PicoTiterPlate Kits.

Titanium Paired End Adaptor Kit
Must contain reagents for preparation of 10 paired-end libraries

GS Nebulizer Kit
Must contain reagents for fragmenting 10 library preparations

3. Titanium Sequencing Kit
Must contain reagents and supplies required to determine the nucleotide sequence of a PicoTiter Plate-immobilized and clonally amplified DNA library prepared using the GS Junior System methods
Must be compatible with the 454 GS Junior Titanium PicoTiterPlate Kit and GS Junior System.

4. Picotiter plate kit
Must be compatible with the 454 GS Junior System
Must contain accessories sufficient for one sequencing run on a GS Junior System.

Rapid Library MID Adaptors Kit
Must be compatible with the preparation of multiplexed/indexed DNA libraries for sequencing on the GS Junior System
Must contain twelve 454 adaptors (numbered GS1-GS12) that can be substituted for the adaptors of the GS Rapid Library Preparation Kit.
5. Sipper Maintenance kit
Must contain ten sipper tubes and filters for required monthly maintenance of the GS Junior System.

6. Maintenance wash kit
Must contain reagents and supplies required for monthly maintenance wash runs of the GS Junior System.

GS Titanium emPCR Breaking Kits
Must contain reagents for breaking the emulsions from 12 separate emulsion PCR preparations.

Additional accessories specific for the GS Junior
Must have additional accessories available for the GS Junior including nebulizer holders, IKA Turrax, bead deposition devices for the PicoTiter plates, BDD Counterweights, emPCR bead counter and shaker adaptors, as well as software for running the GS Junior platform.
