Notice text
The Joint Interagency Task Force South in Key West, Florida has a requirement to convert the exiting dry pipe pre-action fire suppression system currently supporting room 123 in Building 290 into a traditional wet pipe system. JIATFS believes that this will entail reconfiguring the 4" fire suppression water pipes inside room 123 near the entrance doorway in such a way as to bypass the pre-action system. The contractor shall repair the damage to the wall created by the removal of the 4" fire suppression water pipes that originate in room 114 (Chiller room) and penetrate the wall into room 123. The contractor shall test the system, including, but not necessarily limited to, all pipes, sprinkler heads, fittings, couplings, etc. for leaks or discrepancies as per the fire systems engineer's system test requirements. The contractor shall correct and repair any leaks or discrepancies found.
In accordance with FAR 36.204 "Disclosure on the magnitude on construction projects", the estimated price range is between $4,000.00 and $8,000.00.
This is a pre-solicitation. A solicitation will be posted for 30 days after the 15 day pre-solicitation period.
