About this opportunity
The Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center issued a Request for Information on July 22, 2026, seeking industry input on next-generation quantum-resilient cryptographic solutions for tactical edge operations; responses are due by August 25, 2026. This is an informational request only and does not constitute a solicitation or binding commitment.
The RFI targets the Yoshida Tactical small form factor CHVP inline encryptor, an NSA-certified Cryptographic High-Value Product for Secret and Below information. The device must comply with Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0 and SERD 2.0, incorporate quantum-resilient post-quantum algorithms, and feature automated key management with no manual key fill. It must operate as a drop-in IP-based device compatible with Harris, TrellisWare, MPU-5, and IP-based SATCOM systems; support secure group keying with rapid rekey capability; and include event-based and on-command zeroization. Ruggedization must address salt, sand, humidity, submersion, temperature extremes, shock, vibration, dust, and mud consistent with handheld radio standards. The device must be interoperable only with other YT devices.
Respondents must submit 10-page white papers (brochures and appendices excluded) electronically to Zachary Bassett (zachary.bassett.1@us.af.mil) and Aaron Hoffman (aaron.hoffman.10.ctr@us.af.mil). Submissions should include business information and address cryptographic design, NSA certification experience, automated key management approach, device architecture and ruggedization, audit and management capabilities, production readiness, per-unit costs for 1,000-unit lots, monthly production capability, and risk mitigation strategies. The government will retain all submitted materials.
