About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command - Detroit (ACC-DTA) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for nonmetallic tubing assemblies with multiple National Stock Numbers (NSNs) and part numbers. The market research is focused on identifying qualified vendors capable of manufacturing specific tubing components within the Iron and Steel Pipe and Tube Manufacturing sector. Interested companies must provide detailed information about their capabilities, including company details, DUNS number, CAGE code, point of contact, business size status, commercial availability of the items, manufacturing expertise, delivery capabilities, and experience with First Article Testing. The RFI requires respondents to submit comprehensive qualifications and capabilities documentation to Heather Mierendorf via email by Monday, April 28, 2025 at 4:00 PM EST. Respondents are expected to provide verifiable information about their company's ability to meet the government's potential procurement requirements.
This RFI is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, encouraging small businesses to demonstrate their qualifications for potential future contract opportunities. While no specific award value or quantity is mentioned, the solicitation indicates a focus on detailed vendor capabilities and compliance with subcontracting limitations. The procurement will utilize NAICS Code 331210 for Iron and Steel Pipe and Tube Manufacturing from Purchased Steel, with Product Service Code 4710 for Pipe, Tube, and Rigid Tubing. Companies are advised that this is a planning-stage market research effort, and the government is not committed to issuing a solicitation or awarding a contract as a result of this announcement. Respondents will not be reimbursed for preparing or submitting information, and the primary goal is to gather market intelligence about potential vendors' capabilities for manufacturing the specified nonmetallic tubing assemblies.
