This RFI is designed to gather information from qualified potential vendors, both small and large businesses, regarding their capabilities and interest in manufacturing the specified radio equipment. Interested vendors must submit responses by December 1, 2025, at 4:30 PM EST to Christina Smith (christina.d.smith49.civ@army.mil). Required submission elements include firm name and address, DUNS number and CAGE Code with valid SAM registration, point of contact information, business size status, commercial availability summary, manufacturing expertise, delivery capability, First Article Testing experience, and place of performance. The government emphasizes that this is a market research effort for acquisition planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a solicitation or award a contract.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement, and no incumbent contractors or current award values are identified in this pre-solicitation notice. The RFI contains no specified quantity requirements or stated budget range, as the purpose is to assess vendor capabilities and market availability rather than to solicit proposals for immediate award. The government does not encourage questions concerning this market research effort and provides no reimbursement for response preparation costs. This pre-solicitation represents an early-stage market research initiative to inform the Army's future acquisition strategy for this radio set equipment, with no guaranteed timeline for subsequent solicitation or contract award.
