About this opportunity
The Department of the Army's Army Contracting Command - Detroit is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for an Impeller, Type with National Stock Number 2930-01-602-8961 and Part Number 91462-1. This market research notice seeks to gather information from potential vendors about their capabilities and interest in manufacturing this equipment, with a focus on understanding the market landscape for a potential future acquisition. Interested companies must submit comprehensive responses by June 16, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST to Christina Smith via email. The RFI requires vendors to provide detailed information including company details, DUNS number, CAGE code, business size status, commercial availability, manufacturing expertise, delivery capabilities, and First Article Testing experience. Evaluation will be based on the completeness and quality of information submitted, with the government assessing vendors' qualifications and potential to meet the equipment manufacturing requirements.
The RFI does not have a specific set-aside designation and is open to both small and large businesses within the 333618 NAICS code for Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing. No specific incumbent contractors or current providers are mentioned in the documentation. While no award value or budget range is specified, the government emphasizes that this is purely a market research effort and does not guarantee a future solicitation or contract award. Vendors will not be reimbursed for preparing their responses, and the government maintains full discretion in proceeding with or abandoning the potential procurement. The RFI serves primarily as a tool for the Army Contracting Command to assess market capabilities and potential sources for the specific impeller type they are investigating.
