About this opportunity
The United States Agency for International Development's Mission to India (USAID/India) issued a Request for Information to solicit feedback to support the design of a new Coastal and Marine Conservation Activity. USAID/India seeks to strengthen management of Marine Protected Areas and coastal areas, increase coastal community resilience, improve knowledge sharing, and support women and youth involvement. Responses are due by December 22, 2023 and will be discussed at a stakeholder workshop on January 12, 2024 in Bengaluru, India. The activity aims to improve biodiversity conservation and address climate change.
There is no set-aside designation. The activity involves conservation of coastal and marine ecosystems under NAICS code 562910 and PSC code Q250. No incumbent or budget details were provided, though the level of co-creation and specific geographies will depend on RFI responses. The activity is intended to be complementary to existing World Bank coastal and marine management projects.
