About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center is seeking information on contractors' ability to produce Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs) and develop an RVS 2.0 update for the Boom Operator Trainer (BOT) ATD as part of the KC-46 Aircrew Training System (ATS) program. The government is looking for contractors capable of producing 2 BOTs that meet ARASQ level II requirements and 1 Fuselage Trainer (FuT) to be delivered to MacDill AFB by August 2026 and October 2027 respectively. Additionally, the government requires a contractor to complete the engineering, manufacturing, and development work for the RVS 2.0 update to the BOT, with delivery of the updated BOT no later than January 2027. Respondents should provide information on their technical capabilities, experience, timelines, and estimated costs to complete the production and development work. Responses are due by June 17, 2024, and the government does not intend to award a contract based on this RFI.

This pre-solicitation notice does not specify any set-aside designations. The government has not named any potential incumbents or current contractors. The notice does not provide any information on possible award values or budget ranges. The key numerical details include the quantities of 2 BOTs and 1 FuT to be produced, as well as the timeline of deliveries between August 2026 and January 2027.
