About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is conducting market research to procure a sophisticated Benchtop Model Data Acquisition Unit for its Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory. The procurement includes a DAQ chassis, associated hardware, IEEE-1588 Sync, power supply, controlling software, universal input modules, and unit plugs with specific technical requirements. The system must accommodate up to eight modules with 64 total data channels, capable of sampling at 2 million samples per second with 24-bit resolution. Interested vendors are required to submit detailed responses addressing company information, capabilities, business status, and any clarifying questions by June 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM CST. Responses must be emailed to Jennifer Hoben and David Ammermann, with answers to questions to be posted on SAM.gov.
The contract is planned as a single firm-fixed-price award with no specific set-aside designations. The procurement involves one DAQ chassis and associated components, with delivery specified within 16 weeks after contract award to the ERDC facility in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Vendors are expected to demonstrate capabilities in manufacturing measuring and controlling devices, with the contract falling under NAICS category 334519 for Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical specifications suggest a high-precision, specialized scientific instrument. The RFI process is designed to assess market capabilities and vendor interest before releasing a formal Request for Proposal, with responses being used to evaluate potential sources and determine the most suitable acquisition approach.
