About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit information from industry, non-profits, research laboratories, and universities regarding existing products and solutions for an Expeditionary Precision Approach Landing Capability (EPALC). This market survey, posted on September 29, 2025, aims to enhance the United States Marine Corps by identifying commercially available materiel solutions that support the Fleet Marine Force in conducting precision approach landings during instrument meteorological conditions. The RFI seeks to inform NAVAIR about the current status of industry sources, technical capacity, and operational capabilities available in the commercial marketplace. By gathering this information, NAVAIR intends to identify potential contractors capable of providing the required expeditionary precision approach landing capability in support of Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO).

Responses to this RFI must be submitted electronically in PDF format via email by January 16, 2026, and are limited to a maximum of ten pages. Only unclassified responses will be accepted, and respondents must appropriately mark all data with proper data rights and distribution markings. Interested organizations should submit written statements addressing their capability, plans, schedule, progress, and comments relative to the attached performance specification, while avoiding the inclusion of marketing material. The Government will acknowledge receipt of responses and reserves the right to release entire responses to technical reviewers, including employees of commercial firms under contract with the Government. There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity, and eligible participants include commercial firms, non-profit organizations, research laboratories, and universities capable of developing or providing solutions for precision approach landing capabilities.
