About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Foreign Military Sales program issued this Request for Information (RFI) on December 19, 2025, to conduct market research for aircraft spare parts supporting CASA/CN-235 aircraft. The USCG seeks to identify qualified sources, including small businesses, capable of acquiring 51 specific aircraft components such as transmitters, receivers, batteries, power units, landing gear, hydraulic pumps, actuators, and technical publications. Interested vendors must complete the attached RFI Aircraft Spares Q&A and ROM spreadsheet, specifically filling in columns E, G, H, I, and J with unit pricing, sourcing capability, lead times, and proprietary item designations. This is not a solicitation for quotes, and no contract will be awarded from this notice; responses are voluntary and used solely for market research purposes. The response deadline was extended via Amendment 0001 to February 2, 2026, no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Time, with submissions required via email to Contract Specialist Kerri Dolezal at Kerri.L.Dolezal@uscg.mil with the subject line "RFI Response - RFI Aircraft Spares," including the vendor's name, point of contact, and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).
This opportunity carries no set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractors are identified in the notice. The government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in responding to the RFI, and failure to submit sufficiently detailed information may affect consideration as a likely offeror in any future restricted competition. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this market research phase. The RFI falls under NAICS category 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC category 1680 (Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories And Components), indicating that the government is seeking specialized suppliers capable of providing technical aviation components. Based on RFI responses, the USCG will evaluate vendor capabilities to determine whether to issue a formal solicitation and whether any future solicitation should include small business set-asides.
