About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), in cooperation with the Department of the Air Force Integrated Capability Office and the Counter Long Range Kill Chain (C-LRKC) Campaign Team, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding Counter Long Range Kill Chain capabilities and technology development. This RFI is being published by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory and is not a solicitation for proposals or a commitment to contract. The government is seeking market information to support its planning efforts for capability development, acquisition, and deployment of materiel solutions to address adversarial threats to Department of War objectives. Responses to this RFI will be used for informational purposes only and will not provide respondents with any competitive advantage in future procurements.
The objective of this RFI is to gather information about available capabilities, technical maturity levels, and market conditions to scope solutions and estimate budget requirements for addressing critical gaps across the Future Year Defense Plan. Interested contractors must submit responses by April 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time via email in PDF format, limited to 10 pages with one-inch margins and Calibri 10-point font minimum. Responses must not contain proprietary company information or be marked as proprietary, and only one response per company per Line of Effort is permitted. Clarification questions must be submitted to AFRL.CT.RFI@us.af.mil no later than seven business days before the closing date, and contractors requiring access to classified materials must possess Air Force Sensitive Compartmented Information (AFSCI) clearance. No eligibility restrictions are specified, though marketing information and endorsements from elected officials are not acceptable for inclusion in responses.
Notice text
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, as defined in RFO FAR 15.101(c), to obtain information about capabilities, technical maturity, and other market information for planning purposes. This RFI is not a request for proposals; therefore, responses to this RFI are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information requested. Responses will be treated as information only and not as a proposal.
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Counter Targeting Integrated Planning Team, in cooperation with the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Integrated Capability Office (SAF/ICO), and the Counter Long Range Kill Chain (C-LRKC) Campaign Team led by ACC/A589, is in the planning stage of C-LRKC/Counter Targeting capability development, acquisition, and deployment of materiel solutions to adversarial threats to DAF missions supporting Department of War (DoW) objectives. The intent is to scope solutions and estimate budget requirements to address critical capabilities across the Future Year Defense Plan (FYDP).
