About this opportunity
The Department of the Army is seeking contractor repair services for a Modulator Assembly (NSN: 2920-01-366-5641, Part Number: 1893550R, CAGE: 75Q65). This pre-solicitation notice is a Request for Information designed to gather market research and identify qualified vendors capable of performing the repair work. The primary objective is to determine whether a change in the NAICS classification—from 336320 (Motor Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Equipment Manufacturing) to 811114 (Specialized Automotive Repair)—would increase the likelihood of firms submitting offers for a potential solicitation. Interested vendors must provide a response to the specific question regarding NAICS code preference via email to Contract Specialist Lyndsey Pena at lyndsey.m.pena.civ@army.mil no later than 5 p.m. EST on February 24, 2026. The procurement falls under PSC Category 2920 (Engine Electrical System Components, Nonaircraft) and represents the Army's effort to refine the requirement definition before formal solicitation.
This pre-solicitation notice does not utilize any set-aside designations, indicating the requirement is open to all eligible contractors. No incumbent contractor or current service provider is identified in the notice, and no award value or budget range is disclosed at this stage of the acquisition process. The quantity of units requiring repair, the timeline for service completion, and specific technical specifications are not detailed in this preliminary market research phase. As a Request for Information, this notice serves primarily to inform the industrial base of the upcoming procurement opportunity and to collect feedback that will shape the formal solicitation documents. Vendors should note the expedited response deadline of February 24, 2026, which reflects the Army's intent to move quickly from market research to formal solicitation.
