About this opportunity

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding brand name justification for Ruckus Warranty Service. This Special Notice is specifically seeking to determine if there are contractors other than Ruckus Certified Partners who can perform warranty services on existing Ruckus network equipment without voiding the manufacturer's warranty. The RFI covers warranty and technical support for Ruckus network infrastructure deployed across 159 DoDEA schools and offices worldwide, including 592 network switches (ICX 7150, 7450, and 7750 series). DoDEA intends to solicit a brand-specific requirement for Ruckus warranty services but is conducting this market research to explore alternative service providers. The agency has emphasized that this is not a request for quotes or proposals, and no proposal costs will be reimbursed.

The primary objective of this RFI is to validate whether non-Ruckus certified partners can deliver comprehensive warranty services while maintaining compliance with Ruckus warranty terms and DoD standards. Interested contractors must respond by July 8, 2025, and are required to provide supporting documentation that validates their ability to perform Ruckus warranty services without warranty voiding. Only non-Ruckus certified partners are eligible to respond to this notice, and respondents must include their business size classification and CAGE code with their submissions. The warranty services encompass 24x7x365 technical support, hardware replacement, firmware upgrades, warranty tracking, and dedicated customer success management across geographically diverse locations including domestic and international sites. The government will evaluate and validate all supporting documentation provided by responding contractors to determine if alternatives to Ruckus certified partners exist for this critical network infrastructure support requirement.
