About this opportunity

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued a Special Notice requesting information from vendors regarding the procurement of services to perform audit and fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) detection, deterrence, and prevention activities for Medicare Part C and Part D programs.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to seek vendor feedback on the methodology and best practices related to these services, including coordination between the Part C Program Integrity Contractor (CPIC) and the Part D Medicare Drug Integrity Contractor (MEDIC), potential duplication of work, critical workload assumptions, successful outcomes, use of artificial intelligence, and proposal evaluation strategies. CMS plans to release separate contracts for the CPIC and MEDIC responsibilities and has attached draft Statements of Work outlining the anticipated scope of work for each contract. Responses to this RFI are due by August 14, 2024, and will be used solely for information and planning purposes, with no impact on the evaluation of any subsequent solicitations.
