About this opportunity
The Selective Service System (SSS) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the procurement of a new high-speed printer to support the operations of its Mail Center Branch at the Data Management Center in North Chicago, Illinois. The RFI is intended to conduct market research and gather information from vendors to enhance the future Request for Proposal or Request for Quote for this requirement.
The purpose of this RFI is to seek information on high-speed printers that can meet the unique mission requirements of the SSS, including the ability to rapidly ramp up printing speeds to support the agency's mandate of providing personnel in a fair and equitable manner when authorized by the President and Congress. The RFI outlines various technical specifications and requirements, such as minimum and maximum printing speeds, print quality, networking capabilities, and adherence to federal acquisition regulations, security, and privacy mandates. Interested vendors are instructed to submit written information on their capabilities, pricing estimates, company profiles, and implementation plans by the due date of May 16, 2024. The government will not pay or reimburse any costs incurred by vendors in responding to this RFI, which is solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation.
