About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market research on potential vendors capable of providing Federal Procurement Data Systems - Next Generation (FPDS-NG) Data Validation Quality Improvement Services. The primary objective is to identify a contractor who can develop an automated system for monitoring, validating, and correcting procurement data entry errors across approximately 3,000 VA buyers. Key contract requirements include creating a web-based dashboard, implementing automated error notification processes, and generating comprehensive reporting mechanisms to support the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) accuracy certification. Responses to this RFI are due by January 24, 2025, and must be submitted via email to specific VA contact points. Vendors are advised that this is a market research initiative and not a formal solicitation, with submissions becoming government property and potentially informing future acquisition strategies.
While no specific set-aside has been designated, the VA shows preference for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). The potential contract structure includes a 12-month base period with four additional 12-month option periods, suggesting a potential total contract duration of five years. The performance work will be primarily executed at the contractor's facility, with requirements for Section 508 accessibility compliance. Detailed deliverables will include monthly auto-correction reports, data error reports, quarterly reports for the Head of Contracting Authority, and annual verification reports. Respondents are expected to provide a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) system with customization capabilities and the ability to integrate with VA's Electronic Contract Management System, though no specific budget range or award value was explicitly stated in the pre-solicitation documents.
