About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal is seeking qualified vendors to manufacture a Fixture, Test, Fire, Control Instrument with National Stock Number 4931-00-769-1596, with an estimated procurement of 2 units. The agency is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential manufacturers capable of producing this specialized electronic component. Key contract requirements include ISO 9001:2015 certification, compliance with Distribution D and Export Control regulations, and valid certification under the United States/Canada Joint Certification Program. Interested vendors must submit a comprehensive capabilities statement by January 23, 2025, which should include company details, CAGE code, business size status, manufacturing expertise, delivery capabilities, and place of performance. Evaluation will focus on vendors' demonstrated ability to meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements for this specialized electronic component.
The procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting smaller manufacturers in the Other Electronic Component Manufacturing sector (NAICS 334419). While no specific award value is disclosed, the limited quantity of 2 units suggests this may be a specialized or prototype procurement. The technical data package will not be immediately released and will only become available when the full solicitation is issued. Vendors must be prepared to meet military packaging standards (Military B) and deliver the goods FOB Destination. The government emphasizes that this notice is purely for market research and planning purposes, with no guarantee of a future contract award. Interested firms are encouraged to proactively register with the Joint Certification Program and ensure their System for Award Management (SAM) registration is current to maximize their chances of potential participation.
