About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Southeast Inventory (FLCSI) and Military Sealift Command (MSC) are requesting information from U.S. shipyards in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility (OCONUS) capable of applying Ultra-High Solids (UHS) coating systems using plural-component spray equipment, with responses due by June 18, 2026.

MSC is transitioning toward UHS coating systems, some of which require plural-component spray application. Respondents must provide past performance summaries documenting successful application of plural-component coatings on Department of War or large-scale commercial vessels within the preceding 36 months, identify specific coating manufacturers and product lines (Sherwin-Williams, PPG, International, and others) for which the facility has the most extensive plural-component application experience, describe Quality Assurance/Quality Control protocols for continuous verification and formal documentation of volumetric mix ratios and fluid temperatures throughout the application lifecycle, and confirm whether applicators possess documented formal training (such as OEM equipment training) specific to operating and troubleshooting plural-component spray systems.

Submit responses to Julian Thornton at julian.r.thornton.cuv@us.navy.mil or Yarinee Tafur at Yarinee.Tafur.civ@us.navy.mil.
