This is an information-gathering notice only and not a formal solicitation for proposals, with responses due by November 3, 2025. The procurement requires 275 Full-Size Glock 47 COA Pistols and 55 Mid-Size Glock 45 COA Pistols, both chambered in 9x19mm NATO with striker-fired actions and factory-milled slides designed to accept electronic duty optics without adapter plates. Key specifications include minimum barrel lengths of 4.4 inches for full-size and 4 inches for mid-size variants, modular frame designs compatible with compact-length slide assemblies, and compliance with NATO qualification standards and a minimum 20,000-round service life. The procurement also includes associated equipment such as various holster types from manufacturers including Safariland and Bianchi, Streamlight TLR 7-X weapon lights, and five SIRT training pistols, with delivery planned between the Eastern Currency Facility in Washington, DC and the Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.
No set-aside designations have been applied to this opportunity, and the notice does not identify any current incumbents or existing contractors. The Sources Sought Notice does not disclose a specific contract award value or budget range at this preliminary stage. The procurement is classified under NAICS 332994 (Small Arms, Ordnance, and Ordnance Accessories Manufacturing) and PSC 1005 (Guns, Through 30MM), indicating the specialized nature of the equipment being sought. This notice represents the government's initial market research phase to understand industry capabilities and competitive options before potentially issuing a formal solicitation. Interested vendors should review the detailed technical specifications in the attached Sources Sought attachment to understand the comprehensive requirements for optic interfaces, ergonomic dimensions, magazine specifications, and safety standards that will likely govern future procurement actions.
