Queston: Please advise the paving limits and your estimate of dimensions for the new asphalt grade crossing
Answer: Area of paving is 12 feet long x 58 inches wide x 4 inches deep.

Steamtown National Historic Site intends to issue a Request for Proposal, 140P4218R0022 which will be available on FedBizOpps and Fedconnect.net on or around July 19, 2018.
PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Small Business Set-Aside: This solicitation is a 100% total small business set-aside with NAICS code of 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The size standard is $36.5M.
The project is to replace approximately 1100 feet of track, install up to 8 Samson turnouts and 6 Panelized Rubber Grade Crossings, and adjust the alignment and grade of roughly 800 lineal feet by raising the finished rail height by up to 12 inches.
A Bid Guarantee will be required with the Solicitation; Payment and Performance Bonds will be required within 10 days of award. There will be a site visit scheduled and perspective offerors are encouraged to visit the site to satisfy themselves as to conditions before providing an offer. The date and time for the site visit will be specified in the solicitation.
This is a pre-solicitation notice and no response is due at this time. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of the anticipated solicitation. Search by referencing the solicitation number (140P4218R0022). Individual requests for solicitation packages will NOT be accepted. To receive the solicitation package you must download it from one of the above referenced sites.
At the time of the solicitation all responsible small business concerns may submit a proposal, which if submitted timely, will be considered. Be prepared with your company's DUNS number, available from Dun and Bradstreet at 1.888.546.0024 and your Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN). All vendors should pre-register to save time by logging on the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov.
Proposals will be accepted at the address listed in the anticipated solicitation. Proposals must be submitted by the date and time specified in the anticipated solicitation and must be submitted with the original signature of an authorized company official. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. This announcement does not constitute the solicitation.
