About this opportunity
The National Park Service, Southeast Region, announced a sole-source contract award justification for emergency replacement of historic wood flooring at Darrah Hall, Reconstruction Era National Historical Park, due August 10, 2026. This procurement is set aside for total small business and restricted to Berman Property Group, LLC, under FAR 6.302-1 urgency of need. Recent structural failure beneath visitors triggered immediate closure of affected building sections due to life-safety hazards. Widespread cracking, loose flooring, deteriorated boards, localized settlement, and vertical movement have progressed beyond routine maintenance repair. The contractor will furnish labor, supervision, project management, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, and related incidentals to investigate exposed flooring-support conditions, stabilize, document, remove, replace, and preserve the historic wood flooring system while maintaining the building's historic character and integrity. Berman Property Group holds direct familiarity with the facility's existing systems and building conditions, substantially reducing installation conflict risk, extended downtime, and system integration issues. NAICS 238330 (Flooring Contractors); PSC 7220 (Floor Coverings).
