About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking quotations for the repair of butterfly valves through a competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ) numbered 70Z03825QH0000066. This solicitation is for commercial items and targets contractors with expertise in aircraft component repair, specifically those certified as FAA, OEM, or DoD Repair Facilities. The agency requires repair services for two butterfly valves (NSN: 4810-01-470-7884, Part Number: 396308-4-1) for their HC-130J aircraft assets, with strict requirements for airworthiness, technical documentation, and quality assurance. Contractors must submit their quotations electronically by May 28, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, with an anticipated award date of June 4, 2025. Evaluation criteria will be detailed in Attachment 2 - Terms and Conditions, which includes provisions for technical capabilities, repair certification, and comprehensive maintenance reporting.
This is an unrestricted procurement with a small business size standard of $40,000,000, classified under NAICS code 488190 for Other Support Activities for Air Transportation. The USCG initially intends to order two butterfly valves, with an option to increase the quantity to four units at the same unit price within 365 days of the initial award. No specific incumbent contractors are mentioned, and the procurement will result in a firm-fixed price purchase order. The place of performance is not explicitly stated, but the wage determination suggests work may be performed in Florida, specifically in Dade and Broward counties. Contractors must be prepared to provide detailed component repair records, significant component history reports, and maintain certification documentation for a minimum of 24 months after component delivery. The total budget is not disclosed, but vendors are expected to provide comprehensive pricing for the repair services.
