Update #3 · Latest ·

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia will be renewing the current Performance Based Logistics (PBL) for Advanced Mission Computer and Displays (AMC and D) System used on F/A-18 and AV-8B aircraft. Under the proposed follow-on contract, the contractor will be responsible to provision, stock, repair, modify and/or replace, and store serviceable Ready-For Issue (RFI) equipment. The renewal PBL contract will require an integrated product life cycle approach whereby the contractor assumes responsibility for management and support functions related to the PBL such as engineering and logistics support, technical configuration changes, reliability improvement or sustainment and obsolescence issues.

The maximum period of performance for this effort will not exceed 10 years. Justification for Sole Source Acquisition: the statutory authority applicable to permit other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2)(ii) and (iii) with only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (Cage Code: 3CYA3) and the only known source to possess full repair capability. Complete data, drawings and the rights to the same, which are required to support performance of this type of contract by any other source, are not available from the Government.

April 2018 is the estimated award date of the resultant contract.

Subcontracting Opportunities: All business interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.
