About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking potential contractors to repair specific circuit card assembly and TACAN antenna components with National Stock Numbers 5998-01-700-1758IM and 5985-01-665-0616IM. The repair work requires comprehensive technical capabilities, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, reassembly, testing, and finishing to return the items to a serviceable condition. Contractors must demonstrate repair competency through a detailed Source Approval Request (SAR) process, which involves submitting extensive technical documentation, quality assurance materials, and repair process evidence. The evaluation will focus on the contractor's ability to meet Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) standards, with potential review by the Engineering Support Activity (ESA). The market research period runs from March 24, 2025, to April 23, 2025, with electronic submissions required through DoD SAFE.

The opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category, though small businesses, including 8(a), service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, and women-owned small businesses are encouraged to participate. The total repair requirement involves 16 units: 13 units of the 5998-01-700-1758IM and 3 units of the 5985-01-665-0616IM component. The NAICS code is 336413 with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and the contract falls under the Product Service Code J017 for maintenance and repair of aircraft equipment. While no specific award value is mentioned, the solicitation suggests a comprehensive repair contract with strict performance thresholds for delivery schedules, information response times, and end-item quality. Contractors will be responsible for acquiring necessary technical documentation independently and must demonstrate the capability to manage complex electronic component repairs for the Air Force Materiel Command at Tinker Air Force Base.
