About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Sustainment Center, through the 423rd Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify potential sources for repair services of B-2 electro-mechanical actuators. This pre-solicitation notice seeks repair, testing, preservation, packaging, and delivery of serviceable actuator units, along with supply chain management, parts forecasting, and obsolescence resolution support. Prospective contractors must possess technical capability to repair two specific part numbers and must independently acquire necessary technical documentation, as the government does not have associated technical data available. Interested vendors are required to register as interested parties and submit business information by May 3, 2026, to 423scms.guea.inquiries@us.af.mil, with the overall response deadline set for May 6, 2026. This is market research only with no current solicitation, no funds available, and no contractual commitment implied; the government will use the information gathered to determine the best acquisition strategy and whether the requirement can be set aside for small business participation.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement at this time, though the government is actively evaluating the feasibility of establishing a small business set-aside. The estimated requirement includes 50 units of part number DAA3272P028-227 (NSN 4810013635096FW) and 20 units of part number DAA3272P027-227 (NSN 4810013644092FW), for a total of 70 actuator units requiring repair services. The applicable NAICS code is 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and the government welcomes responses from all business categories, including large businesses, small businesses, 8(a) certified firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses. Potential sources seeking source approval must complete a Source Approval Request (SAR) package in accordance with RQR-848 requirements and submit electronically through DoD SAFE. All work is to be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and the government has not disclosed specific award values or timeline estimates for completion in this pre-solicitation notice.
