About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking sources for the repair and renovation of a kiddie pool facility at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. The project requires contractors to install a 60-mil PVC liner, replace and upsize the skimmer system, and improve the deck drainage systems. Key contract requirements include providing all plant, labor, equipment, transportation, and tools necessary to complete the work in compliance with applicable UFC standards, ETLs, local and national codes, and Columbus AFB Installation Facility Standards. The contractor must submit shop drawings within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed for government approval before construction begins, establish a Quality Control Plan, maintain daily site supervision through a qualified Contractor Site Superintendent, and coordinate with government inspectors throughout the project. Responses to this sources sought announcement must be submitted by February 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM CST to the designated contracting officers, A1C McGil Sabado or SrA Daniel Stilts.
This pre-solicitation is designated as a total small business set-aside. The estimated project magnitude ranges between $25,000 and $100,000 with a firm-fixed price contract structure. The work must be completed within a total period of performance of 105 days, with construction constrained to occur between September 15 and May 1 due to summer pool operations. Interested parties must demonstrate relevant project experience from the past five years, current bonding capacity, and indicate the percentage of work they would perform in-house. Companies may also indicate whether they would partner with another small business to meet subcontracting limitations. Responses must include business name, CAGE code, point of contact information, business size and applicable socio-economic status, and other specified qualifications. This announcement is for sources sought and market research purposes only, with a formal solicitation to be announced at a later date.
