About this opportunity

The US Embassy in Paris, France is seeking to procure rental services for transit furniture to be used in residential buildings of the US Mission to France. The Department of State will issue a solicitation for this requirement, which will be structured as a fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base year performance period and four optional one-year extensions. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submitting offers, as required by Federal Acquisition Regulation provision 52.204-7. The government intends to award the contract to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who qualifies as a responsible contractor. Electronic responses must be submitted to ParisContracting@state.gov by the October 27, 2025 deadline, and the government may award based on initial offers without conducting discussions.

This procurement opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all responsible sources who may submit quotations for consideration. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the pre-solicitation notice, nor are specific award values or budget ranges disclosed at this stage. The contract structure allows for task orders to be issued under the IDIQ framework, though specific quantities of furniture or detailed service timelines are not specified in this preliminary announcement. The solicitation falls under NAICS code 532289 for All Other Consumer Goods Rental and PSC category W071 for Lease or Rental of Equipment-Furniture, indicating the specialized nature of the furniture rental services required for diplomatic residential facilities.
