About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey to identify potential vendors for the rental of a temporary portable boiler system at their facility located in St. Charles, MO. The project involves the delivery, setup, installation, and startup of a 9 million BTU natural gas portable boiler system, including all necessary water and gas lines, electrical power cables, and associated components. The FAA seeks to determine if there are responsible small businesses capable of performing this project, which will help them decide whether to set aside the contract for small businesses. Interested vendors must submit an electronic capability statement to Linda.Hennequant@faa.gov by March 3, 2025, referencing the Advertisement Number SS-CS-25-00445 in the subject line. The submission must include company details such as name, UEI number, point of contact, email, phone number, and business size status.

The market survey does not currently have a specific set-aside designation, but the FAA will evaluate the responses to potentially reserve the contract for small businesses. The anticipated period of performance for the boiler system rental is 11 months, with the equipment to be installed within a maximum 225 square foot area on a concrete pad. No pricing information is required at this stage, though vendors may voluntarily submit general pricing details for planning purposes. The FAA emphasizes that this is not a formal request for quote or proposal, and all costs associated with market survey submissions will be solely at the vendor's expense. Vendors should note that the FAA's email server has a 10MB file size restriction, and submissions must be in Microsoft Word or PDF format.
