This Statement of Work covers the expansion and renovation of the Sterile Processing Service in order to provide a steady flow of patient care supplies and equipment to the required departments from a centralized sterilization center and return contaminated items to a central decontamination area. The project is located in the Area E of Building 1 of the Veteran s Affairs Medical Center in Washington DC (VAMCDC). Furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supervision to construct and renovate the Sterile Processing Service. Renovation is needed in order to provide a steady flow of patient care supplies and equipment to the required departments from a centralized sterilization center and return contaminated items to a central decontamination area. The project will not only consist in a renovation of approximately 14,200 SF, but also providing new permanent medical equipment for the new SPS.
The SDVOSB must be small under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and verified in the following websites: www.sam.gov, http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate, complete and have not expired prior to bid opening date. Project magnitude is between $ 5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 and the business size standard is $36.5 million.
BONDS: Bonding in the form of Bid, Payment and Performance will be required.
SITE VISIT: A one-time only site visit will be scheduled on August 2, 2017 @ 02:00PM. More information will be in the solicitation package.
PROPOSAL DUE DATE: The proposals are due August 21, 2017 @ 3:00PM for this project.

SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies of the amendment will NOT be individually mailed.
Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt. Contractors should re-visit the website periodically to look for updates. All requests for information (RFIs) are required to be in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received by the specific date mention in the solicitation prior to proposal due date; no telephone inquiries will be accepted. It is the Contractor s responsibility to ensure questions/inquires are received in the Contracting Office for a response, prior to the (August 8, 2017) cut off period.
