This is a pre-solicitation notice.

The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, Southeastern Fruit and Tree Nut Research Laboratory (SEFTNRL), located in Byron, GA., has a requirement to renovate 15 laboratories that will ultimately standardize and enhance research capabilities (depending on the availability of funds).  The work includes but is not limited to:  The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, professional services, and supervision necessary to renovate 4 laboratories with options to renovate 11 additional laboratories.  The contractor shall provide a detailed technical proposal and cost breakdown for the entire project.

USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract.  The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 M.  Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement.  During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions.

This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP).  The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about June 23, 2024.  This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
