About this opportunity

The Department of the Army National Guard seeks one wireless remote-controlled tracked mower with an approximate 52-inch cutting deck suitable for sloped terrain, with quotation proposals due September 3, 2026. The procurement is a 100% small business set-aside, and this is a reissue of solicitation W50S9F26QA020 with amendment 0001 correcting an initial incorrect offer due date.

Place of performance is Madison, Wisconsin 53704. The mower must safely and continuously traverse slopes of at least 37 degrees in wet conditions, supported by manufacturer technical specifications, independently verified test data, or formal certification. The mower must include a factory-installed automatic shutdown system that engages during tip-over events and during loss of remote signal, documented in manufacturer technical manuals or specification sheets. The wireless remote control requires an approximate 1,000-foot operating distance with an acceptable minimum of 800 feet, and a factory-installed operating indicator light must be visible from all angles up to the maximum remote control distance. The mower must weigh approximately 2,000 to 2,400 pounds, cut brush up to 1.5 inches in diameter, and be delivered turn-key and fully assembled with all necessary accessories including remote control unit, batteries, and chargers. The mower may not utilize GPS or wire-guided systems. Basic operator training is required at the delivery location covering safe operation, remote control pairing, startup/shutdown procedures, routine field maintenance, and safety system overviews. The contractor may perform final assembly, configuration, and operational testing at the delivery location prior to training.

Quotations must include pricing with shipping, product information including standard warranty, UEI, and CAGE code. Quotes must remain valid through September 30, 2026. The NAICS code is 333112 with a size standard of 1,500 employees. Award will result in a firm-fixed price purchase order to the quoter providing the most advantageous quote considering price, technical, and past performance factors. Access to a local authorized service center is a preferred non-price technical factor, with closer proximity to Madison evaluated favorably. Pre-award demonstrations are preferred within 20 miles of Madison, with vendors responsible for associated costs; the Government reserves the right to request demonstrations if written documentation proves insufficient. Funds are not presently available to make award. This is a high priority requirement in support of the National Guard.
