About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking a contractor to provide remanufacture support for F110-100 and F110-129 Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) Throttle Demand Transducer (FTD) Sensors. This is a military-unique acquisition to support the F110 Inventory Evaluation Maintenance Program (IEMP) partner nations. The work encompasses disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, re-assembly, testing, and finishing actions required to return the FTD sensors to a like-new condition. This is a five-year firm-fixed price requirements-type contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. Proposals are due by August 15, 2024.
This contract opportunity is not set-aside. The government does not have adequate data to approve additional repair sources due to the source-controlled drawings. The best estimated quantities are 20 F110-100 sensors and 14 F110-129 sensors per contract period. The place of performance is Loves Park, IL 61111, USA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336412 - Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing, and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 2915-P - Engine Fuel System Components, Aircraft And Missile Prime Movers.
Notice text
This is a non-commercial effort to provide remanufacture support of FTD Sensors utilized on the F110-100/129 engine. The supply being acquired must meet all requirements defined by the Statement of Work (SOW) for the contract. Due to the drawing for the items being source controlled by the blueprint, the government does not have adequate data to approve additional repair sources. The work encompasses the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, re-assembly, testing, and finishing actions required to return the end item to a like new condition. Data availability is identified on the contract repair screening analysis worksheet (CRSAW (aka AFMC IMT 762)). This acquisition is military unique.
This effort is to support the F110 IEMP partner nations FTD sensors, that are utilized on the F110-100/129 engines. The General Electric F110-GE-129 propulsion system first entered operational service in 1992. This engine, derived from the F110-GE-100, is an afterburning turbofan jet engine produced by General Electric Aviation (GEA) and offers maximum mission capability to over 80% of the world's F-15/F-16 fleets. Because the F110-GE-129 engine has a proven record for safety and operational readiness, it is highly desirable amongst allied nations and is offered to them, via the foreign military sales (FMS) program.
The purpose of this requirement is for the remanufacture of F110-100 & F110-129 FTD Sensors. The contract will be a five-year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) requirements-type contract with a one-year basic period and four one-year option periods.
