About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior, Interior Business Center, Acquisitions Service Directorate, in support of the National Park Service Historic Preservation Training Center, intends to solicit qualified contractors to provide historic building relocation services for the Minidoka National Historic Site in Jerome, Idaho, with responses due by September 8, 2026.
The requirement calls for a contractor with demonstrated experience in historic preservation and structural building relocation to safely relocate one historic barrack building across two mobilizations. The first mobilization requires the contractor to separate the historic barrack building from its existing foundation, relocate it to a temporary location, and provide a structural stabilization plan addressing temporary bracing, framing, lifting points, cribbing, and other measures necessary to safely execute the lift and relocation. The building will be placed and maintained in a stable, elevated condition on cribbing towers at the temporary location to allow Historic Preservation Training Center personnel to perform necessary repairs to the building's structural floor framing. The building is anticipated to remain at the temporary location through approximately May 2027. The second mobilization, following completion of structural repairs by Historic Preservation Training Center staff, will involve remobilization and relocation of the historic barrack building from the temporary location to its final destination.
This is a pre-solicitation notice for informational and planning purposes only; the Government is not requesting quotations or proposals at this time. No set-aside applies.
