About this opportunity
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking to procure a single Aircraft Air Pressure Regulator (NSN 7R-1660-123850505-P8) for the P-8 aircraft through a competitive solicitation. The Department of the Navy is specifically targeting this procurement with a source-approved approach, limiting potential vendors to pre-approved manufacturers including INTERTRADE LTD and The Boeing Company. Interested parties must submit their capabilities and qualifications to the contracting officer, Kyle Matsinger, via email within 15 days of the notice. Any new potential sources must submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request (SAR), though the procurement will not be delayed pending SAR approval. The evaluation will focus on meeting stringent qualification requirements, with award contingent upon the offeror, product, and manufacturer meeting specific government standards.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates this is not a small business set-aside contract, with a contract duration of one year and a single unit quantity. The procurement will be conducted using FAR Part 15 procedures and will include Buy American clauses. Potential vendors must provide detailed technical data based on their production experience, and those with an existing source approval request under evaluation must include documentation of that submission. The contract will be awarded on a FOB Origin basis, with uid requirements applicable. While no specific award value is listed, the solicitation emphasizes the critical nature of the item as a flight-critical component, suggesting rigorous technical and qualification standards will be paramount in the selection process.
