About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of State's Foreign Service Institute (FSI), School of Professional and Area Studies (SPAS) has issued a Special Notice regarding the acquisition of conference registrations for the Social Media Marketing World (SMMW) conference. The notice indicates a sole source procurement intention with Social Media Examiner, located in Poway, California, as part of The Social Media Forum (PY364). The procurement will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 541990 for Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services. The government anticipates issuing a firm-fixed price purchase order for student conference registrations. The notice allows for potential vendors to submit capability statements if they believe they can meet the government's requirements.

Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their capability statements electronically to the Contract Specialist, Susan Paek, at paeks@state.gov by February 26, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time. While the notice is structured as a potential sole source procurement, the government will consider any submitted capability statements and retains sole discretion on whether to open the requirement to competition. The procurement is not a competitive request for quotation, and no Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be made available. Eligible vendors should carefully review the requirements and submit their capability statements if they believe they can provide the necessary conference registrations. The opportunity focuses specifically on student access to the Social Media Marketing World conference as part of a broader training and professional development initiative within the Department of State's Foreign Service Institute.
