About this opportunity

Naval Sea Systems Command (NSWCCD) is requesting industry information on contractor support to design and prototype replacements for obsolescent components on the IM-272A/WDQ Air Particle Detector (APD), with a response deadline of September 23, 2026. NSWCCD seeks feedback and capability information from both large and small businesses.

The requirement covers design and prototype development for six obsolete assemblies: Power Supply Motor Controller (PSMC), PC/104 Alternating Current/Direct Current (AC/DC) Converter, Display Assembly, Paperfeed Assembly, Flowmeter Assembly, and Door Hinge. The Government intends to procure two prototypes of each part and requires performance testing to validate compatibility with the existing APD system. Respondents should address the Draft PWS and Market Research Questionnaire provided in the attachments. NAICS 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) applies.
