About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal (ACC Warren) is offering a sale of surplus property at Red River Army Depot (RRAD), specifically approximately 43,000 lbs of copper radiators with potential trace amounts of brass, aluminum, and stainless steel. This all-or-none sale, posted on April 7, 2025, with a due date of April 25, 2025, requires the buyer to purchase scrap material based on the monthly AMM/Chicago market index, with pricing determined by commodity market rates. The buyer must provide roll-off dumpsters, follow the AWCF Scrap Pickup Process, and make full payment through Pay.gov prior to scrap removal. Critical conditions include a $100 surcharge for each ten business hours without an available roll-off and strict environmental compliance requirements, with the buyer assuming full liability for potential hazardous material handling, spill prevention, and cleanup. Key contacts for this opportunity are Cody Gardner, Zachary Gilmore, Amanda Martin, and Kathy Ellis from the Army Depot, who will manage communication and invoicing for the surplus property sale.
