About this opportunity

The US Army Corps of Engineers has issued a Special Notice for Recurring Maintenance and Minor Repair (RMMR) Services at NSA Souda Bay, Greece, in support of the Defense Logistics Agency - Energy (DLA-E). The notice concerns a proposed contract action for fuel systems maintenance services, which the government intends to negotiate with a single source under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1. The contract opportunity is specifically related to maintaining fuel systems at a critical military location in Greece, where potential service interruptions could significantly impact regional training exercises and aircraft operations. The notice was posted on January 31, 2025, with a response deadline of February 17, 2025, and is categorized under the NAICS code 238990 for All Other Specialty Trade Contractors.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to quickly secure a contractor capable of providing immediate maintenance support for fuel systems with no service gaps. The government seeks to award a 7-month contract, with the intent to subsequently develop a long-term contract through full and open competitive procedures. Interested contractors are invited to demonstrate their capability and interest by emailing responses to specific government contacts by 0900 on February 17, 2025. The notice indicates a strong preference for the previous RMMR contractor, who already possesses base access and existing submittals, making them uniquely positioned to provide uninterrupted services. While the opportunity is not a formal competitive solicitation, the government will consider responses from contractors who can prove their ability to meet the critical maintenance requirements at NSA Souda Bay. Ultimately, the decision to compete or sole-source the contract remains entirely at the government's discretion, with the primary goal of ensuring continuous and reliable fuel system maintenance.
