A. Background & Project Overview: The San Francisco VA Medical Center campus has very little open space to either expand parking and/or to build any new buildings. The open ground area north and east of Building # 11 has been identified as underutilized, and could be suitable for a small parking lot for small cars and/or for a modular office type building or trailers. Given that concept, this project will design and install the necessary underground utilities and rough-in's, for domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, and electrical power. The future site may need storm water catch basins and overhead lighting.

A Geotechnical Investigation & Evaluation of the campus North Slope was completed in November 2008

All underground utilities shall have a minimum of 24 inches of ground cover.

The NAICS Code for this construction project is 237210 with Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 million. The magnitude of construction for this requirement is between $250,000 and $500,000.
