RECOVERY -- This procurement is being funded via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Bureau of Land Management Alaska State Office intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for removal of an existing 85-foot pedestrian bridge, demolition of existing abutments, and construction of a new 115-foot pedestrian bridge.
PROJECT LOCATIONThe work is location in Anchorage, Alaska.
MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTIONBetween $250,000 and $500,000
SET ASIDEThis acquisition is 100% set-aside for HubZone
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE210 days from Notice to Proceed
SOLICITATION INFORMATIONThe North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 237310, size standard $33.5M. The solicitation will be available at www.fedbizopps.gov or at https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/ on or about January 25, 2010. Bids will be due February 24, 2010. The solicitation is subject to the provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 14 and 36. Bidders must have a Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number and register at www.ccr.gov (Central Contractor Registration) to be eligible for award of any federal contact. Additionally, it is recommended for interested parties to register at www.orca.bpn.gov (Online Representations and Certifications Application).
Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful bidder(s), will be required in any resultant contract. The awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the Recovery Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Act funds under the awarded contract. These reports will be made available to the public.
